Fun take on Trump’s India visit features First Family in an all Indian avatar.
As President Donald Trump embarks on his maiden India visit, both sides are ramping up the theatrics for the grand spectacle it’s promising to be. If Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is lining up hundreds of thousands of Indians to cheer Trump, the US President just tweeted a video of himself in an Indian avatar.
Trump retweeted a short video posted by a user featuring a scene from the battlefield from the blockbuster Indian movie Bahubali (all powerful) with Trump’s face superimposed on the protagonist and wife Melania as Bahubali’s love interest.
The clip shows Trump rampaging through the battlefield and killing all his enemies. One sequence shows Trump driving Melania on a chariot and another one shows daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner riding on Trump’s shoulders.
If you thought, this was enough politics-meets-drama for the day then there’s more. The clip also features Modi and his wife Jashodaben holding thalis to welcome Trump in traditional Indian style.
The original Twitter user created the clip as a fun take on the high-profile visit saying, “To celebrate Trump’s visit to India I wanted to make a video to show how in my warped mind it will go.”
No one would have thought, least of all the original post creator that the President himself would retweet the post. In fact, it seems that Trump was pretty pleased with the larger than life imagery being promoted ahead of his visit.
“Look so forward to being with my friends in India,” he wrote while retweeting the video clip. Though it
remains unclear whether Trump understood the connotation behind the original clip, but it certainly shows that when it comes to spectacles the two leaders can really take the stage!
