Browsing: Lipstick Under My Burkha

Elephants in the Coffee, a documentary produced by Indian American D K Bhaskar and award-winning American journalist Dr Thomas Grant, received the Best Documentary award at DCSAFF event.  

One hopes moviegoers will look at “Lipstick Under My Burkha,” which hits theaters in India July 21, as a chance to see all facets of women, celebrate the movie’s uniqueness, and debate issues it raises.

The film is all set to hit the screens on July 21

The festival’s centerpiece is Kushboo Ranka and Vinay Shukla’s ‘An Insignificant Man’.

The festival, which will conclude with Shubhanshish Bhutiani’s Hotel Salvation, will also feature films by Adoor Gopalakrishnan and Priyadarshan.
