Ram Dayal Verma leaves 23-page suicide note behind.

A 39-year-old man committed suicide near Parliament in New Delhi by hanging from a tree on Thursday, reported NDTV. A 23-page suicide note was also found from the body.
The man identified as Ram Dayal Verma of Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh was desperate after losing crores of rupees in betting on Indian Premier League. The body was found at around 7 am on Thursday near to the parliament complex.
The police have also found a bag near to his body and recovered many documents from the same.
“It was around 7.15 am that Verma’s body was found hanging from a tree located between Rail Bhawan and the media parking center near Vijay Chowk, close to Parliament. An inquest has been initiated into the matter. His family members have been informed about the incident,” DCP, New Delhi, Jatin Narwal told Hindustan Times.
Verma said in his suicide note that he had taken loans from people for betting in IPL in the expectation of making huge money. But he lost all the money including his life savings.
According to the police, Ram Dayal Verma left home on Wednesday with a plan to commit suicide and reached Delhi on Thursday morning. He directly went to Vijay Chowk and hung himself. He noted in the suicide note that he selected Vijay Chowk for suicide to get maximum attention.
The police have started an investigation and primary inquiry has revealed that his wife knew about his betting and the huge amount of debt he had incurred.
