Kerala-based hacker group Indian Black Hats have defaced seven Pakistani websites as a ‘tribute’ to Lt Col Niranjan E. Kumar and other martyrs of the Pathankot terror attack.
The hackers didn’t delete any content from the websites but uploaded Niranjan’s two-year-old daughter Vismaya’s photo.
The hacked websites include www.csd.gov.pk, www.pakistanbarcouncil.org, www.mona.gov.pk,www.fotile.pk, www.maslamsons.com, www.cpakgulf.org, and www.solp.pk.
“This Attack is dedicated for VismayA, the daughter of NSG Commando Lt Col Niranjan!! A Big Salute from team IBH To the familys of brave soldiers who lost their life in Pathankot Attack!! A Small Tribute to those Brave Soldiers who Laid their Precious Life for our Country and our People!! We forgive.. We forget.. Don’t Expect Anything from us..(sic),” the hackers wrote.
“This is not cyber war but sending a message,” one of the members told The Times of India.
Earlier, the same group hacked 10 Pakistani websites and other domains as a tribute to the martyrs of the Mumbai terror attacks, which took place on November 26, 2008.
