Apple has announced its first iOS App Design and Development Centre in Bengaluru with CEO Tim Cook visiting India. Tim Cook started his tour with a slew of business meetings and then visited Mumbai’s famous Siddhivinayak temple.
At the temple, Cook met Ananth Ambani and chatted with him for some time.
“India is home to one of the most vibrant and entrepreneurial iOS development communities in the world” said cook in a press statement.
“With the opening of this new facility in Bengaluru, we are giving developers access to tools which will help them create innovative apps for customers around the world.” Cook added.
The Apple facility in Bengaluru is expected to open in early 2017.
In his four day trip, Cook is likely to visit the IT capitals of Bengaluru and Hyderabad and later New Delhi.
He will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry and superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
