Madrid’s tax-free arrangement has made luxury affordable in one of the sought-after shopping destinations across the globe.

If you are traveling to Spain, have no tab on your budget and are a lover of fashion, then you must check out the luxury shopping scene in the city of Madrid.

Contrary to popular opinion, it is not just Paris or Rome that are considered the crème de la crème of luxe shopping destinations, in fact Madrid has an impressive luxury portfolio to boast of.

If upmarket shopping is your forte, you are in for a treat with the exclusive shopping experience in and around Calle de Serrano.

Most luxury shops situated on Calle de Serrano run alongside Paseo de La Castellana, as well as La Calle de Goya and are famous for where Madrid’s elite display their superfluity.

From simple chic boutiques to the major fashion houses such as Versace, Burberry, Gucci, Emporio Armani, Prada etc. Calle Serrano is equipped with it all.

Though Madrid boasts of a strong commercial culture. Strolling through these shops gives you an insight into panache and sophistication, the street practically personifies an entire world of Spanish high-end fashion.

If you love your designer brands and don’t mind splurging, this is definitely the ideal place for you. This street possesses runway inspired haute couture and is among the leading places to do your tax-free shopping.

The Spanish fashion label that is most celebrated in this area is of course “Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.”

Besides clothes shopping, this place also is characterized by its shoe shopping. Manolo Blahnik, also known as the world’s master shoe maker, is the brand which revived the classic stiletto.
