Indian American lawmakers have made clear that there is no place for hatred in the US. They condemned Kansas bar shooting that left one Indian dead and two others critically injured. The perpetrator, Adam Purinton, is a US navy veteran.

More than 15 percent students from India contribute $ 5 billion to the US economy. Hate crime might jeopardize this trend.

Kansas police have said it is being treated as an accident.
